2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid Reddit

Your driving habits and terrain have you using EV mode. It's not really anything you can control. Long break to charge up the battery, don't floor it, and lower your max speed on the highway and the MPG will go up. I have a 2017 accord touring hybrid in southern California. Driving it like I stole it and going 75-80 on the highway I got 36.3 mpg overall. I switched to driving more timidly and capping max highway speed at 70 and always using cruise control. Now I get 43 mpg. It's all about how you drive and how fast you drive. If I was hypermiling I could probably get 48-50. But I believe people doing that arent driving safe and are putting themselves and others at risk I have an order for a Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige in place since late June. My salesperson called today with an update, and said my order is now 4th in the queue waiting to get picked up by Kia. I wasn't entirely sure what this meant, so he clarified that this means I'll likely be in the next batch of orders going to Production with Kia (he said the orders generally get picked up in batches of 5 or 6 at a time). I asked what the general ETA is once the order is officially with Kia, and he said around 3 months from that time. I guess this is kind of good news, as it would seem that Kia is in fact still taking Hybrid orders into production. But it also means I'll be around 7-8 months in total wait if this order does get into production soon. For reference, I placed this order on 06/24, and the dealer is in Utah.
