ASUS laptop only one speaker works
Customer ReviewHarshad 2.0 out of 5 stars Good VFM gaming laptop but one speaker doesn't work Reviewed in India on 23 June 2020Verified Purchase Ordered this just after lockdown restrictions were relaxed a little as I urgently needed a laptop for work. On unboxing and starting the laptop I found that the speakers weren't working. I tried calling Asus customer care but the troubleshooting steps provided by them didn't work. I tried some sound settings and figured that if the sound balance is shifted completey to left sound was coming from left speaker. Which meant that the right speaker was malfunctioning. Given my urgent requirement, I did not have time to return the laptop and then again wait for a replacement. Also, given the pandemic situation I didn't want to go out ofnmy home till the society gate multiple times and expose myself to the virusm. So I decided to live with the flawed right speaker. I have used Sony and HP laptops in the past. However, I am disappointed in ny first Asus Laptop purchase and the lack of QC at their end. I didn't expect such a lapse in quality. In the future I would think twice before buying an Asus laptop. Now the speaker flaw apart, the laptop itself is good for gaming. Thermals are decent. I've tried GTA V, Witcher 3, Assetto Corsa and all work brilliantly at max graphics. The 17 inch screen is brilliant for gaming and has nice vivid colors. The keyboard color is customizable which is cool. Normal use battery lifr is around 4 hrs. Gaming while on battery is around 1 hr. I would have rated this product 5/5 had the right speaker problem not been there. Giving it 2/5 mainly due to the speaker issue as the issue reflects that Asus doesn't take quality checks seriously and takes customer trust for granted.
