EyesHazel What are the disadvantages of Cetaphil? What's the problem? The ingredients include 3 different parabens (known to cause endocrine disruption and linked to breast cancer), propylene glycol (increases chemical penetration into your skin and bloodstream) and sodium lauryl sulfate (known to cause skin irritation).
Why did they reformulate Cetaphil? After 74 years in business, Cetaphil is reformulating some of its best-selling products for the first time, to better align with the clean and sensitive skin movements. The products include the Gentle Skin Cleanser, Daily Facial Cleanser, Moisturizing Lotion and Advanced Relief Lotion.
Is Cetaphil actually good?If you're one of the many people with sensitive skin, Cetaphil can help nourish your skin. With the collection of scientific evidence from studies on over 32,000 patients, Cetaphil cleansers and moisturizers are proven to defend against dryness, irritation, roughness, tightness, and a weakened skin barrier.
Does Cetaphil cause breakouts? The answer is yes it can. Cetaphil Moisuturising Lotion isn't non-comedogenic as generally thought. It has a comedogenic combination of cetearyl alcohol + ceteareth-20. The macadamia nut oil in it is largely non-comedogenic, but some of the rest of the ingredients aren't.
