    Data connections have been disabled

So I've seen people ask this question before, but I can't seem to find a solution...

My workbook keeps saying "Security Warning. Data connections have been disabled." There are NO data connections in this workbook. I've even deleted every macro, deleted every worksheet (only leaving a blank new sheet left) and it still says that. The only way I was able to sort of fix it was by saving the .xslm as a .xls, but that corrupted two of the worksheets, which obviously is not a useful solution. Anybody?

Working in Excel 2011 For Mac and OS 10.8.4

    Thanks!

Re: Data connections have been disabled

The data connection is in Data, Connections, Connections.

Go in there, and break the links.

As tempted as I am to go unearth my G3, I figure I'd suggest this first. Here we go!

On the Edit menu, click Links.
In the Source list, click the link you want to break.
To select multiple linked objects, hold down CTRL and click each linked object.

To select all links, press CTRL+A.

    Click Break Link.
If the link used a defined name, the name is not automatically removed. You may want to delete the name as well.

Re: Data connections have been disabled

Thanks daffodil11 - couldn't find the answer there, but a user on another forum pointed me to here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/m...0-f529b76a1e5d

The answer, which is quite simple, is just to copy all the sheets into a new workbook and replace the references to the original workbook with "". Thank you for your help!
