I have a weird situation and I hope someone can help. All of my devices connected to my WiFi router have "reasonable" internet speeds except for my laptop which recently slowed to barely usable. Please heeelp

Laptop was purring along nicely until 2 days ago and nothing has changed

did you try another wifi at a family, friends, or business location to see if things are still slow?
Yes, I tried at a place over the road.

Booting into safe mode with network did not activate wifi so couldn't test

My life saver . Disabling all start-up items did the trick. I didn't see any that should pose a problem but seems I was wrong . Speeds are back to normal. If I find the offending application, I'll post it back here.
