This research was conducted to develop and evaluate a prototype of Web-based Basic French courseware [multimedia courseware] for Basic French subject at diploma level. It also engaged of web applications that offer various facilities in providing interactive, effective and innovative learning environment. This research also evaluates some features of Basic French courseware such as pedagogical approach, learning strategies, theories in education and effectiveness usage test in term of achievement towards the application of Basic French courseware in teaching and learning compared to conventional way. The research methodology applied was pra and post quasi-experimental for balanced groups. The samples for the study were 4 Subject Experts, 56 students and 3 lecturers from UniKL Malaysia France Institute [UniKL MFI]. The students were divided into two groups where 28 students use the Web-based Basic French courseware [treatment group] and 28 students learn Basic French in conventional way [controlled group]. In this study, 7 instruments were used to interpret the research problems, needs analysis, courseware evaluation through formative and summative assessments. The findings were analyzed by using SPSS version 11.5 and descriptive and inferential statistics were applied. Findings of the research found that the experiment group [R] that underwent the teaching and learning process using the Basic French Software [EASIFRENCH] had a higher achievement level as compared to the controlled group [K] that followed the conventionaal approach to teaching ang learning. This research contributes to aspects such as: [i] design of the development methodology of the Basic French courseware EASIFRENCH; [ii] design of the instructional design [ID Model] for EASIFRENCH; [iii] development of prototype of the Basic French Courseware EASIFRENCH; [iv] development of modules such as: Tutorials Module, Exercises Module, Communication Module, Activities Module, Links Module and Learn More Module; and [v] findings of the usability test conducted on the Basic French Courseware, EASIFRENCH.

This paper presents the comparative analysis learners readiness among Art and Engineering students in higher education institution. Initially, this paper was conducted a study with a total number o f 120 students form Art and Engineering cluster and then practicing portfolio in their coursework. The pilot study was conducted and showed the reliability coefficient with Cronbach’s alpha [] is 0.825. The instrument was divided into five components which involved [1] technology accessibility [2] online skills and relationship [3] motivation [4] internet discussion and [5] importance to success, to measured the learners readiness. The findings were reported that students are ready to use e-portfolio as a learning tool in assessing their content knowledge and competencies. The e-portfolio will extend the opportunity to promote the outcome-based education domain which encompassed critical thinking and problem solving, information management and lifelong skills. [Show full abstract] with their network, which may include family, friends and co-workers, among many other people. Obviously, the use of the Internet has exponentially increased as the largest social media tool as time has passed and thousands of tools have become available through it. This is evidenced by a general election reforms to its 13th General Election where Front National [BN] using the mainstream media and opposition parties other alternatives to using new media to campaign. As a result, 48% of people voted for the Front National, while 52 % favour to Pakatan Rakyat. The percentage of the popular vote is proving how social media can change the landscape thoughts and thinking patterns of someone on a particular issue or subject. The study used literature reviews and interviews with several individuals. The results showed that social networking sites have great influence in the direction of an organization or a country based on the pros and cons that are in use. The study also aims to share information on few social networking sites that can help in teaching and learning. This is particularly important for ensuring that instructors use different styles or methodology and address the issue of Y-generation in accordance with the abrupt change in the era of information and communication technology.
