One of the top reviews already mentioned a stylus pen, so if I want to use one in the future I will. But I can use my finger just fine for drawing, and this app was great for drawing on the computer. Thank you!

Misleading, the first thing it wants you to do when opening this app on the iPad is to download the pro version on your Mac. No thanks.
Havent experienced any issues
So far, I havent experienced any issues, and it is super useful considering the fact that i don't have a traditional 2nd display.

Good but a little laggy
The app is a good alternative to the duet display. Of course, duet display is better but it also costs $10. This is a good cheap alternative, but I wished they can make it more smooth. Im getting around 10fps when using it as a monitor. Its fine for reading PDF but the experience will certainly be better if it was smoother. Overall I would recommend this app for a free second monitor.
Phenomenal
This application has brought new life to my old ipad. I have the Mini 2 and i use the extra screen for discord while i stream on my laptop.
Pretty good for a free app
I never really write reviews but this app saved me from buying a $200 external monitor and it works pretty well, thats all I have to say. The lag is minimal and the image quality is a lot better compared to space desk. I definitely see myself using this a lot.
This app is great but
This app is great but i have a problem. I can connect my iPad air 4 to my laptop [win10] but it copies the screen of the laptop on the iPad. My laptop doesnt detect my iPad as a secondary monitor and I cant use the extend option. Can anyone help me?
PC? Read this first
I kept getting the blue screen on my iPad "Connect to Computer" Two things are required: 1. Instal iTunes. Splashtop needs the iTunes drivers 2. Right click on "C:\Program Files [x86]\Splashtop\Splashtop Wired XDisplay\Agent\SWXDAgent.exe". Select "Properties", "Compatibility" "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7" It's fabulous that this works on an iPad 2 running iOS 9. Duet requires IOS 10+ I've now got Splashtop on my iPad 2 and Duet on my iPad 8th gen. It's free and it works! ,,, But don't expect support from Splashtop if you need it.

Was working fine as a second monitor for my pc for a couple weeks, but suddenly now it wont connect when I plug in my iPad, and after running the repair option in the computer apps installer, itll mirror my screen but wont allow me to switch it to its own monitor. Ive tried checking the website, but their FAQ and help articles have next to no useful info.

This app is great. Ive wanted to have another monitor for a while now but I dont have another but I do have an old iPad. I was looking for an app on my phone when I discovered this app. It does feel kinda sluggish but that might be because of my old iPad or me putting the cable through an adapter. Other than that it is amazing.
Will NOT connect. Crapware
This continually fizzles out during connection. iTunes recognizes my iPad Pro just fine, but this app wont recognize that its plugged in to the computer. Going elsewhere for sure

Its easy to use
I tried many times with others apps to link my ipad with my windows laptop, and theyre either not compatible nor cheap at all. With this apps, I can connect immediately very easy to use. There are small lags in between but not a problem for me at all.

My laptop PC started having serious green/pink and other display issues, used this app with my old iPad, and it works perfectly There is a small bit of lag, but for free, thats more than fair and still so much better.

I have a Lenovo windows laptop and a 2015 iPad that runs on iOS 10.1. Most new apps don't even work on the iPad but it makes for an awesome handy second screen

Nothing to say about it is not bat nor the best. I recommend to make it an wireless app instead of plugging it every time to the system and the iPad it is kind a troublesome
App crashes constantly
Installed latest version on Windows 10 pc. Connect iPad with app running and the PC recognizes the iPad, but app crashes after 5 seconds or so. Tried different things and iTunes works fine. I need something that works and does have continual issues.
Perfect Road Warrior Addition
I live on the road and deeply missed my 2nd screen. This App was downloaded to my ipad. I chatted with customer service. Great direction. Downloaded from MS store. Added to my Surface Laptop. Now I have my 2nd screen. SWEET. The set-up was down in 5 minutes, at most. If you have the ipad and a laptop and WISH you had that second screen. Now you do. LUV IT.

I use Splashtop for remoting into clients computers. Decided to try their XDisplay product to make a second monitor to display my todo list and email away from my primary monitor which is used for writing programs and creating web sites. Does what it says without any issues so far.

I bought a laptop nearly a month ago because I went around 28 months without a functioning computer. This app enabled me to have a second [or possibly third] display as I may need. It hasn't been updated in 3 years from what I can see, so that's one thing that should be discusses, because what if I decide to upgrade my iPad and iOS whatever upgrade renders this app useless? That is not what I wanted to bring up, however. This app is nice, but... [lol] but what if I wished to use a particular pen for drawing? On this laptop, I've installed Clip Studio Paint [formerly Manga Studio] and Photoshop. I've dabbled into art and am kind of getting back into the swing of things. If it hasn't been requested, I'm requesting the pen functionality that comes with any wacom pen connected to this tablet; pressure, tilt, etc. If you should already have this functionality, then what pens are compatible with it? I request a list. This is kind of a long-winded review. This app will likely get a 5 if pen functionality is added.
Works well
Great for use with iPad connected to Dell XPS 15 7590. Basically zero lag, and much better in general than any alternatives [e.g. spacedesk] without causing any issues on my pc.

I demoed DuetDisplay, and Photoshop wouldnt function right. I tried another application [dont remember which one] and it was only for mirroring your main monitor, not extending it. I was seriously considering getting a portable USB-C monitor when I found SplashTop XDisplay. This extends the monitor and works with all my programs effortlessly. Easy to set up and a price you cant beat!
Incredibly useful, works like a charm
This honestly works so well for me. I dont have a second monitor for my PC, but now I can keep discord up on the other screen when Im doing stuff for easier monitoring while I work from home. It even functions quite smoothly with video! Ive tested with a discord group video chat, and Twitch streamed for about 5 hours using it as my second screen and its honestly more than I could have ever asked for from a free program. Love that its wired, not WiFi. Keeps the connection smooth. Literally the ONLY downside I have with this program is that I had to install iTunes on my PC so that the PC side of this program had the toolkit to function. I dont enjoy having iTunes on my PC since the update to apple that split the music off into its own app discontinued it. Functionally though, the app works great, so thats not taking off a star for the actual rating.

Im the global VP of HR for a mid-sized health insurance services conglomerate, Ive use this app with my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 and again with my 2020 iPad Pro 12.9 [both times for work to extend my laptop display to a second screen]. The first time I used it was as a makeshift presentation tool in one of our locations when the projector didnt work, and this week Ive been using it as rolling blackouts take down my two monitors in my home office, laptop tethered to my iPhone as a hotspot and my iPad as a second monitor and was able to make sure the employees of the 7 companies got paid this week. PS Im in the DFW area. This app is a GAME CHANGER. Two things I would change: 1. I do have issues when my power shuts off and I switch over from my two screens to this app. I have to end up rebooting to get it to find the iPad as a screen. 2. I would love it if the screen wasnt so laggy when Im working, but Ill take that over NO screen any day!! Just want to tell the app developers: Great job on enabling our devices to work SMART!!

Wow, for the money I have invested in this app it is amazing for me. I am running a Windows 10 laptop using my iPad Pro as a second monitor....with all the virtual meetings I/we all do now having a second monitor that I already own is so nice. I can recline in my office chair have my remote keyboard attached to my iPad right on the corner of the desk, reading and replying in the chats without having to sit up and use the laptop keyboard. Lazy? Maybe...Comfortable? Definitely. Had to spend mooooore money on another monitor? Nope.

Great App! An issue with Big Sur
I love this app. It works very well with connecting my Mac to an old iPad. An issue came up after updating my Mac to Big Sur. I am no longer able to see the cursor on the extended screen. I am able to click around but just don't see the cursor. Great app up until now!

Summary: This app is fantastic! Its totally free, makes my iPad Pro a spare touchscreen monitor, and after the initial setup [which was a little tricky], it works easily on the first try every time I connect. I appreciate this software SO MUCH! Thank you developers!!!! HW Configuration: iPad Pro connected to a 64-bit Windows 10 PC through USB-C. Tips for Setup: Make sure that you have properly installed Apple Device support software. The PC version of the app will tell you if you dont have this installed when you try to run it, and its included in iTunes [which is free]. Alternatively, you can install that support software directly without iTunes, and google can help you with that. Additionally, if after setup your iPad only displays a copy of what your computer displays, press the windows key and P at the same time, then select extend displays. Other than that, the installation is simple!
