Turn off video autoplay Facebook

When we open our Facebook app, there are numerous videos that scroll down automatically on our screen. These videos can consume a lot of data from our mobile data plans. So, the auto-play feature on Facebook can be stopped by disabling the video auto-play option.

Steps to stop videos from automatically playing on Facebook on your desktop:

Step 1: Open your Facebook account on your desktop and log in to it.

Step 2: Tap on the downward-facing arrow in the top toolbar and click on "Settings."

Step 3: Next select the "Videos" option in the toolbar on the right side of the screen.

Step 4: The icon next toAuto-play videos," is selected "Off" from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: From there, you can also change the default video quality, as well as turn it on or off.

Steps to stop videos from automatically playing on Facebook on your iPhone:

Step 1: Open the Facebook app on your iOS device.

Step 2: Tap on the hamburger icon with three vertical lines at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Scroll down the screen and click on "Settings and Privacy"

Step 4: Then choose "Settings" options.

Step 5: Scroll down once more to the "Media and Contacts"

Step 6: Then tap on "Videos and Photos."

Step 7: Select theAutoplay" icon

Step 8: Next choose the Never Autoplay Videos" to turn off auto-play.

Steps to stop videos from automatically playing on Facebook on your Android

Step 1: Open your Facebook app on your android device

Step 2: Click on the three stacked lines at the top of the screen.

Step 3: Now click on the "Settings & Privacy" followed by "Settings."

Step 4: Scroll down and tap on the Media and Contacts."

Step 5: Choose "Autoplay."

Step 6: Finally select theNever Autoplay Videos."
