Discharging the battery after shutting down the computer is a common complaint, as well as other errors, such as an error related to.NET Framework, a Windows update error and the annoying 0x800ccc13 error that many users around the world have brought to the surface using Windows 10. We will focus on why the battery drains after the shutdown.

This is due to a standard feature of Windows 10 known as Quick Start. It helps your computer restart faster. This works on the principle that the operating system does not completely shut down your computer if you tell it to go to sleep instead, and if you restart your PC, it restarts much faster.

Disable Fast Start Up on Windows 10

  1. Use the Winkey+X and Power options or right-click the Start button.
  2. Click on Edit in the upper left corner what the Power button does.
  3. Click on the link at the top of the center to change settings that are not currently available.
  4. Disable the recommended Quick Start option.

November 2021 Update:

The program fixes common errors that might occur on Windows systems with ease - no need for hours of troubleshooting when you have the perfect solution at your fingertips:

  • Step 1 : Download PC Repair & Optimizer Tool [Windows 10, 8, 7, XP, Vista Microsoft Gold Certified].

  • Step 3 : Click Repair All to fix all issues.

Use the Command Prompt to turn off your PC.

Depending on the users, if you have battery problems when your laptop is turned off, you may not turn it off completely. This will slowly drain your battery, even if your device is off.

To completely shut down your PC, you can use the following tip:

  • Start Command prompt. You can also use PowerShell.
  • Now run the shutdown /s command and your PC will be completely shut down.

Another faster method is to use the execution dialog. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type the shutdown /s command and press Enter or click OK.

If these methods work, you can speed up the process by creating a shortcut to shut down your PC. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select New > Shortcut.
  • Enter Shutdown /s in the input field and click Next.
  • Enter the name of the new shortcut and follow the instructions on the screen.

Once you have created a new shortcut, use it to turn off your PC. Note that this is only a workaround solution, so you should use it every time you want to turn off your PC.

Reinstall Battery Drivers

  1. Disconnect the power plug and use the laptop until the battery is 15% discharged.
  2. Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30 minutes.
  3. The Microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery has been reinstalled in Device Manager,
  4. Restart the computer and the problem should be solved.
