How to applyPlease fill out the form below. #LI-DNI Surgery Partners Remote or Brentwood, TN Job Title: Benefit Specialist - This is a remote opportunity The Benefit Specialist is responsible for supporting the Benefit Manager in all areas of the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, accident, critical illness, flexible spending plan, health savings plan and 401k). Provide excellent customer service to the Human Resource team in the field. As needed, provides special guidance and assistance to the Human Resource team at all locations on various employee benefit plans. Provide analytical and technical support in the administration process of the benefit programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Provide customer support to HR team in the field. * Assist with daily benefit processing, to include; enrollments, qualifying events, COBRA, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, QMSCO, compliance testing. * Assist in the maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee payroll records via weekly benefit file upload. * Assist with timeliness and accuracy of required filings and notices, to include; ACA, CMS, Medicare Part D, 5500. * Assist with the processing of monthly billing and preparation for payment for all group benefit plans. * Assists in the administrative functions and benefit system preparation of the benefit plan renewal process. * Provide assistance with correcting Error Reports that are generated from electronic benefit files sent to carriers, to include; Medical, Dental, Vision, COBRA, FSA, 401k and Life and Accident policies. * Provide support to corporate employees for all benefit related questions, issues and concerns. * Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. * Assist in the maintenance of administrative functions for assigned benefit processes. * Assist with benefit projects as needed EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. * Excellent communication and organization skills are required. * HRIS systems experience. * Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external. * Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment. * Ability to work professionally with sens 15d ago $31k-41k yearly est.
