How do I unpair my Apple Magic Mouse 2?

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a
new question. Hi everybody. I bought a used MM on eBay, but the unit is still paired to the previous Mac. Is there any way to unpair a MM from a non reacheable Mac? The MM might have a name that you can change in System Preferences > bluetooth > highlight the mouse on the left >

After System Preferences > Bluetooth there is no device to select, it shows only a button to configure a new device. I hit the button, Mac finds the "old name" mouse and tries to pair, with no success. Thanks, Ed. Sep 8, 2011 4:06 PM in response to edoardofromvignate Try dragging the bluetooth plist to the desktop. Located in Macintosh HD/ Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist Restart and try the pairing again. If you have any other bluetooth devices paired, they'll have to be repaired after this process. Sep 9, 2011 8:26 AM in response to captfred Done, but same thing happens. Mac senses the BT device in the range, tries to pair, but fails to connect. It seems that MM stores in a non-volatile memory the BT code of the device it is paired to. It must be deleted before pairing to another Mac. Found strange that Apple does not provide an utility to clear this code and reset the MM. Thanks for your help

I have a magic mouse, which is paired to a Mac Pro which is on a truck about 2000 miles away. I want to pair it to my Macbook Pro which I have with me.
As long as the MacPro is not in bluetooth range, you shouldn't need to unpair it. MAybe just try to pair on your MacBook Pro and report result?

truck, in a different country. How is this possible?
Doesn't work. I just get stuck on this screen: I don't know then. Can you try taking the batteries out of your mouse for a few minutes and putting them back in and trying it?
