Texture

First thing I loved was the color of this mask, it was a soft pastel washed out salmon color. Not only that but the texture of it was absolutely wonderful! It was like a whipped jelly, I literally wanted to just keep touching it because the texture was so smooth and fluffy. Something that certainly isn’t common with clay masks.

It spreads smoothly over the skin, making it easy to apply a even coat over the skin. It instantly provides a cooling effect to the skin which you will notice the instant you apply the mask. Not only that, but it also feels quite hydrating at first which is lovely after a hot shower.

Overall

As someone with dryer skin, I personally don’t like using clay masks as they tend to be too drying for me. However the cooling and hydrating sensations of this mask felt very nice and is one I would like to use during the summer time when this skin can be flushed and more on the oily side. For me, this mask worked well to remove any excess oil production on my t-zone, so I would definitely recommend it to those with oil skin. As an added benefit, this mask did not at all cause any irritation to my skin or break outs, definitely the best clay mask for those with sensitive skin. 🙂

About Author

Bronwyn Papineau (BiiBiiBeauty)

Hi! I am Bronwyn Papineau AKA BiiBiiBeauty & BiiBiiBap. Welcome to my area of the internet :3 I blog about my life and review the things I love while I travel. I am a beauty blogger & youtuber in Toronto Ontario Canada who lived in Seoul South Korea for 2 Years, Tokyo Japan for 1 year, and Melbourne Australia for 1 year. So, come with me on my beauty journey!

If you’re anything like me, you’re a mask fiend. I love masking as part of my skincare routine, and I’m always looking for new masks to add to my stash. Even though I probably don’t need any new ones, sometimes I can’t stop myself. Recently I picked up three masks from the popular K-beauty brand I’m From. This brand get a lot of insta hype from skinfluencers I trust, so I was excited to try! In today’s I’m From mask review, I’ll be sharing the details on the three masks and my thoughts on each of them.

I’m From: Background on the Brand

I’m From Skincare is a Korean beauty brand that offers a range of products, from their mugwort line to their fig cleansing balm, honey mask and volcanic mask. What distinguishes themfrom other K-beauty brands is their approach to transparency with the ingredients. Every I’m From product lists each ingredient as well as the name of the farm where they were harvested. Knowing not only what’s in your skincare but also where it comes from is a level of transparency that the rest of the skincare industry should be striving to. This commitment to developing effective products responsibly has earned them a strong reputation among skincare enthusiasts.

I’m From Mask Review: Mugwort Mask

I m from volcanic mask review

What It Is: A wash off mask containing ground mugwort from Gangwha.

What It Does: Cools and soothes the skin.

How to Use: After cleansing, apply mask and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse.

Price: $35.00

My Thoughts: I was intrigued by this mask as I’ve heard great things about mugwort (and learned that it’s not just a thing in Harry Potter!) A healing herb with antibacterial, anti fungal and protective properties, it has become increasingly popular in skincare. It’s especially good if you have sensitive or acne prone skin (me!!). This mask has a slight cooling effect and I noticed a reduction in my redness after using. I like the tea-like scent it has too. I’m excited to see the long-term effects of using this regularly in my routine as I think it will do a lot to help with my inflammation.

I’m From Mask Review: Rice Mask

I m from volcanic mask review

What It Is: A wash off mask that contains rice grains.

What It Does: This mask uses rice grains to physically exfoliate the skin.

How to Use: After cleansing, apply to skin and gently massage. After 10 minutes, rinse off.

Price: $28.00

My Thoughts: I expected this to be creamy, and while it is, this mask also contains rice grains for some gentle physical exfoliation. It reminds me of the fresh beauty lotus preserve mask! This is more of a quick wash off mask versus one I would leave on for a period of time. My skin felt smoother after washing off. I enjoyed this one and see myself reaching for it for my weekly exfoliating product.

I’m From Mask Review: Honey Mask

I m from volcanic mask review

What It Is: A wash-off mask containing natural honey as well as other nourishing ingredients.

What It Does: With honey, the mask provides moisture and nourishment to the skin, helping to soothe inflammation. The mask also effectively removes whiteheads and provides exfoliation.

How to Use: After cleansing, apply the mask and leave on for 10-60 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Price: $38.00

My Thoughts: This was my favorite mask of the three, because I’m a honey fanatic when it comes to skincare. It’s the best ingredient for my acne prone skin!! This mask is super thick and nourishing, and left my skin so soft. I found it to be a decent alternative to the crazy pricey Fresh Beauty Creme Ancienne mask, which I shared my thoughts on in my Fresh Beauty brand review.

Are the I’m From masks worth it?

I enjoyed these masks, and while they aren’t at extremely low price points they are on par with other hydrating masks I’ve used. I found them to be high quality and they delivered on their promises, so I would say they are worth it.

What other masks do I recommend?

I am a mask queen and probably use a face mask every other day! My recommendations depend on your skin type and concerns. If you struggle with acne prone skin, check out my roundup of the best 18 masks for acne. My other go tos are the Korres Hydrabiome mask, Fresh Beauty Black Tea mask, and the Youth to the People superberry mask.

I’m From Mask Review: Final Thoughts

If your skin concerns match up with mine, I would definitely recommend giving these masks a try! I’m From looks like it may become one of my favorite Korean skincare brands, and I definitely want to explore more from the brand.

Have you used I’m From products? What’s your go to Korean skincare brand? Let me know in the comments!
